BUFFALO, N.Y. – Catholic Charities staff members gathered as Chief Executive Officer Dennis Walczyk pulled two raffle ticket stubs out of thousands of entries for a 37” LCD HDTV and Blu-Ray disc player at Catholic Charities Montante Administrative Center Monday.
Tickets were sold for $1 each at a table at the Broadway Market in Buffalo during the two weeks leading up to Easter Sunday. The raffle raised $1,819 to benefit Catholic Charities’ programs and services and the Broadway Market.
The winning names pulled at random were Kevin Keenan of Buffalo who won the HDTV and Danielle Heredia of Buffalo, who won the Blu-Ray disc player. The winners claimed their prizes at the Administrative Center Wednesday.
Catholic Charities is the most comprehensive human service provider serving all eight counties of Western New York, with 70 programs and 61 locations. Founded in 1923, Catholic Charities also provides, without regard to religious affiliation, comprehensive counseling services for children and families, anti-domestic violence programming and emergency services, among other social and mental health services.
