BUFFALO, NY – Catholic Charities opened the doors to its new Hamburg office at 40 Main Street in the Village of Hamburg this week, moving just a short distance from its former location on East Union Street.
Entrance and ample parking for the new office is located off Long Avenue. The site opened for service on Aug. 26. Hours are 8:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. weekdays. The phone number remains the same, 716-648-6515.
“Our new site provides full accessibility at ground level from our office’s entrance in the large parking lot,” Jerry Kelly, supervisor of the Hamburg office, explained. “We look forward to continuing to serve the residents of Hamburg and surrounding communities from our new site.”
Services available include counseling for children through seniors and for families, as well as emergency basic assistance and Our Kids: A Parent Education and Awareness program.
Catholic Charities’ professional counselors are highly trained counseling experts who are able to assist with life’s most serious concerns.
Our Kids parent education is a New York State Certified Program for separating/divorcing parents. Parents are typically referred or ordered by Family or Supreme courts upon filing for divorce or if there are problems regarding child custody and/or access.
Topics include the impact of separation/divorce on children, cooperative and parallel approaches to co-parenting, legal issues related to custody and/or access, alternatives to litigation, methods of communication and problem-solving.
