The Precious Innocents Child Care Center of Catholic Charities was developed as a direct response to the growing community need for day care assistance for those parents of pre-school age children who need to work. In addition, the New York State licensed center offers a Before/After School Program for children ages 5-12. The primary concern is the growth of the children. The highly qualified individuals who staff the center promote social, educational, physical and spiritual enrichment.
Our Mission
Precious Innocents offers parents a nurturing, caring and safe environment for their children. Our goal is to provide a high quality program which enhances each child’s physical, social, emotional and intellectual development. Our classrooms are arranged to provide challenging, play and learning choices in a range of developmental levels.
A child’s early life experiences serve as a basis for each learning situation. Our qualified personnel will encourage your child in building a positive self-image and a love for learning they will carry throughout their lives.

Our Program
Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. We care for children 6 weeks old through age 12. We offer before- and after-school programs, as well as a summer program.

Parent Involvement
We encourage parents to actively participate by attending parent/teacher conferences, special events and children’s programs, and chaperoning field trips. As a partner in your child’s care we welcome your questions and will keep you informed of important events in the development of your child.
Fees
Our fee is a set daily or weekly rate, determined by your child’s age. Discounts may be granted to families with more than one child attending the center. Financial assistance is available to those who qualify from Erie County Department of Social Services at 716-858-8953.
About Precious Innocents Child Care Center
The Holy Innocents Child Care Center was founded in 1969 and moved to 30 Rich Street in 1989. In 2010, the center merged with Precious Jewels child care center, moved to 128 Wilson Street in Buffalo and was re-named Precious Innocents Child Care Center. It has a capacity for 113 children, ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
Precious Innocents is a New York State licensed facility, and contracts services through the Erie County Department of Social Services.
All meals meet U.S. Department of Agriculture standards.
The center is an agency of the Day Care Association of Erie County, and The Child Care Resource Network.
