Welcome to the Catholic Charities of Buffalo website! On behalf of everyone connected with us, we are pleased to have the opportunity to tell you who we are and what we do. Our Mission statement says it all: “We strive to empower individuals, children and families to achieve and maintain meaningful and healthy lives … we believe all persons are created by God … we are a primary advocate for those in need, particularly the most vulnerable.”

Operating from more than 50 sites in Western New York, we pride ourselves on our ability to provide a wide array of human services in a quality, efficient and outcome-driven manner. With fund-raising costs comprising only 7 percent of funds raised, and administrative costs at only 11 percent of our total operating budget, we believe we are the most cost-effective human service agency around.

Catholic Charities is hope for people through all seasons of life – nurturing the very young with child care, reaching out to children and teens with intensive family therapy, getting young adults back on an education and career track, assisting an unemployed father with food for his family, and helping seniors find affordable housing. We strive to bring strength and stability to the communities of Western New York.
