Catholic Charities Places Collection Barrels around Ken-Ton To Gather Linens for Ladies of Charity

BUFFALO, N.Y., March 23, 2016 - New and gently used linens are being sought to complete household "fresh start" packages for clients of Catholic Charities. Ladies of Charity of Catholic Charities is asking Kenmore and Tonawanda residents to gather items including blankets, sheets, comforters and towels and drop them in collection barrels at various organizations around town, including parishes and social centers.

"Fresh start" packages contain gently used or new, basic household items and benefit individuals and families who have a need to restart a home, whether from homelessness, fire or leaving a domestic violence situation.  

Collection sites are: Kenmore Volunteer Fire Department, 16 Nash Rd., Kenmore, 875-3274; St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 33 Victoria Blvd., Buffalo, 875-2730; St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church, Sheridan Dr., Kenmore, 873-6716; St. Timothy's Roman Catholic Church, 565 E Park Dr., Tonawanda, 875-9430; St. John the Baptist Church, 1085 Englewood Ave., Tonawanda, 877-6401; American Legion Brounshidle Post #205, 3354 Delaware Ave., Buffalo, 877-9279; and Knights of Columbus Kenmore, 1530 Kenmore Ave., Buffalo, 875-5780.

Ladies of Charity is a ministry of service provided by concerned girls and women within the community on a volunteer basis.
