Catholic Charities Service Corps

The Catholic Charities Service Corps (CCSC) invites young adults to "discover their light and ignite it in others."  The volunteers work to develop and share their gifts, education, and faith in a unique manner.

By participating in challenging, meaningful work and living in an intentional and simple community with other volunteers for one year, men and women explore how their faith can be more fully integrated into all aspects of their lives.

Volunteers commit to one year of full-time service work, beginning August that particular year, with those who are poor. This may involve work in health clinics, inner-city schools, social service agencies or parishes within the Diocese of Buffalo. Local human service organizations, including Catholic Charities, benefit from the work of the Service Corps volunteers.
