The Monsignor Carr Institute (MCI) provides in-school behavioral and mental health counseling services in select Buffalo Public Schools and Charter Schools.
Supported through Medicaid and third party insurance, School-Based Behavioral Health Counseling services are currently provided at the following schools:
• BPS # 37 Marva J. Daniel Futures Preparatory School (PreK-8th grade)
• BPS # 43 Lovejoy Discovery School (PreK-8th grade)
• BPS # 93 Southside Elementary (PreK-8th grade)
Supported through funding provided directly from the school, the School-Based Behavioral Health Counseling services are currently provided at Elmwood Village Charter School (K-8th grade).
Students who receive in-school counseling services from MCI therapists have priority access to psychiatric services, complex care coordination and other support services available at the Clinic.
The Monsignor Carr Institute Clinic at 20 Rich St. has also maintained a strong partnership with King Charter School through which MCI provides outpatient mental health services for those referred by the school.
