A New York State Certified Program for separating/ divorcing parents. Parents are typically referred or ordered by Family or Supreme courts upon filing for divorce or if there are problems regarding child custody and/ or access.
Topics covered include the impact of separation/divorce on children, cooperative and parallel approaches to co-parenting, legal issues related to custody and/or access, alternatives to litigation, methods of communication and problem-solving.
A sliding fee scale is used to determine payment for the program. It is available at multiple sites throughout the eight counties of Western New York.
