Jennifer Schmidt, a mother of three, sought help from Catholic Charities Multisystemic Therapy (MST) Program, an intensive, family-focused intervention serving families of delinquent youth, when her eldest son, Andrew, 13, became physically and verbally abusive toward his two younger sisters and also started skipping school.
With help from Kelly, a therapist with the MST Program, Jennifer feels that the program has helped get some peace back in the house and 'some control back in her life. Kelly had always been supporting her and guiding her in the right direction.
"It was a lot of work, but it was really worth it!" said Jennifer.
Jennifer thanks Catholic Charities for all the help and support, helping her
stay strong even when Andrew was at his worst.
Now, Andrew has not missed a day of school during the 2013-14 school year and has a better relationship with his sisters and family.
"I want to thank you for all you have done," said Jennifer about her experience working with Kelly. "You have helped me become a stronger, better mom!"
